Beef Steak with Chili Sweet Sauce


Homemade beef steak recipe! Viva meatlovers! this recipe is actually perfect for ribs. But since this is the only meat left in refrigerator and i want to try this recipe badly because it is really really suppeerrr EASY to make at home. This the first time I tried and it was a success! The recipe is actually a very basic one and usually used to grill meat or ribs in indonesia. I wanna share it to everyone to try at home. Let’s try cooking! 😀


Meat seasoning ingredients :
3 tbsp lemon juice
3 tbsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper

Sauce ingredients : Manually
1 tomato
3 cloves white garlic
5 cloves red garlic
3 red chilie pepper
3 green chilie papper
3 tbsp sweet soy sauce
1 tsbp vegetable oil

Cooking ingredients : food processor
4 cloves white garlic
4 cloves red garlic
3 red chilie pepper
3 green chilie papper

1 stalk of leek
1 tbsp palm sugar
3 cups of water

How to make it :

1. Prepare the meat
Prepare a big bowl and put lemon juice, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Put the meat into the bowl. Mix them well and leave it in room temperature for 45 mnt.

2. Prepare the sauce
While waiting for the acid in lemon juice to work, lets chop-chop the sauce ingredients. Minced all the garlics manually into a small dice. Slice the tomato and all the green and red chilie pepper into a small size and prepare a bowl for the sauce. Add 1 tbsp vegetable oil into the bowl, put all the sauce ingredients and mix them well. After that, add 3 tbsp sweet soy sauce and stir them all. If you feel the consistency is a little bit sticky, adding  more vegetable oil supposed to be fine. And the sauce is ready! I deliberately upload it into different post cause that sauce usually used for every traditional BBQ dish in Indonesia. Dont forget, After 45 mnt are up took out the meat from lemon juice.

3. Prepare to cooking
Put all of the garlics and chilie pepper from cooking ingredients into food processor or blender. Prepare the frying pan or a pot, and put some vegetable oil. Put all of the garlics and chilie pepper into frying pan and stir fry it untill fragnant. Put all the meat and stir fry all of them. Pour 2 cups of water and half of the sauce into frying pan, 1 stalk of leek cut into half, salt, pepper, and 1 tbsp of palm sugar. Let it dry for the meat to absorb the spices flavour. when it is dry enough, pour the rest of the sauce and stir fry all of them together until the outer layer of meat turn into golden shiny black color. And its done! Ready to eaatt !!


The meat is sooo tender and the taste inside are full of spices and the outer layer of meat taste so sweeeeeeet !! Please, make sure to try it at home. Im sure you wont regret it !! 😀
